From: Duncan Cameron Date: Fri, 23 Aug 2002 19:29:6 +0000 To: "jm@jmason.org" Cc: "eric.pement@moody.edu" Subject: PPM files for EtText and WebMake I have created PPM files for Text-EtText and HTML-WebMake. I have used the 'bleeding edge' versions, both 3.2., but could repeat it for the stable versions. These are for ActiveState Perl, version 5.6 only. There is a difference in the install directory for version 5.5. The PPM files contain: xxx.ppd - the Perl Package Description file xxx.tar.gz - basically a tar'd gz'd file of the blib directory which is generated when using make a readme file The gz file contains all the .pm files and scripts. I have also generated html for the pod in each .pm file which will be integrated into the ActiveState html documentation. For WebMake all the .wmk files are also included. I have installed both successfully using ppm, just expand the zip files and do ppm install Text-ExText.ppd ppm install HTML-Webmake.ppd I then re-generated my test web site successfully. I tried running all the tests for EtText and WebMake which are in the standard distribution, most worked but there are quite a few Unix dependencies which cause failures. Eric, do you mind having a go installing these packages as I think that I recall that you are a Win32 user? Regards, Duncan Cameron
